Born on September 14, 1971, in Dharan, Sunsari, Nepal — Gobind Rai has spent over three decades sculpting movement into meaning. Today he commands cultural classes out of the Gobind Dance Center at 41-32 75ST, Elmhurst 11373, New York City, USA.
His cinematic direction footprint culminated in the award-winning Nepalese feature film "NAAGBELI" (2013), a landmark achievement in national cinema.
In 1997, he founded 'The Angel Kalakendra' in Kathmandu — an institution he directed through 2005, directly training and launching superstar screen icons Rekha Thapa, Richa Ghimere, Arunima Lamsal, and Nisha Adhikari.
Master choreographer behind legendary cinematic box office hits: Gurkha Paltan, Naina Resham, Mission Paisa, and Sayad.
Honored as "Best Dance Director of the Year" at the NEFTA National KTV Film Awards (2007) and Filmy Khabar CG Digital Awards (2008).
